The POWRIG WP-X6 is a hard-shell dive housing that takes the Insta360 X6 well past its bare-camera depth limit. It is built for scuba divers, freedivers, snorkellers, spearfishers and surf shooters who need a sealed, pressure-rated barrier between salt water and an expensive 360 camera — and who still want to start, stop and switch modes once the housing is closed.

Key Advantages

• Four-latch balanced lock — Two latches per side clamp the shell evenly instead of pinching one edge, so the gasket compresses uniformly and the seal tightens under water pressure rather than loosening.
• Two sealed external buttons — Power and the Quick Button stay usable through the shell, so you can start a take or change modes mid-dive with wet gloves on. No need to surface and open the case.
• Dual domed lens ports — One optical dome per fisheye lens, front and rear, so neither side of the 360 sphere shoots through a flat window. The high-transmittance resin shrugs off salt water, chlorine and sunscreen without clouding or yellowing over a season.
• GoPro-style three-prong mount — Bolts straight onto dive trays, mask mounts, chest harnesses, scooter mounts and float sticks with the included thumbscrew.

Pre-Dive Checklist

1. Inspect the gasket. A single hair or grain of sand on the seal is the most common cause of a flood. Wipe the groove with a clean fingertip before every closure.
2. Charge and set up first. Pick your resolution and mode before sealing — only power and the Quick Button are reachable once closed.
3. Use the included anti-fog inserts. Warm air sealed inside a cold housing condenses on the domes. Slide two or three along the inner wall, then dry them out afterwards to reuse.
4. Do a shallow leak test. Submerge the closed, empty housing for a minute and check for water before trusting it with the camera.
5. Rinse in fresh water after use. Salt crystallises in the latch pivots and stiffens them. Rinse, work the latches, then air-dry open.
