xPOWRIG Aluminum Cage for Insta360 X6
The POWRIG AC-X6 is a machined aluminum alloy cage built for creators who mount the Insta360 X6 on helmets, handlebars, gimbals and need it to come off again in one second. It turns the camera into a rigged shooting platform for action sports riders, motovloggers, real-estate and virtual-tour shooters, and anyone running lights or microphones on a 360 camera.
Key Advantages
- One-press quick release — Press the red latch with your thumb and the frame springs open; press it closed and it locks. Swap batteries or pull the camera for a dive housing without unscrewing anything.
- Original magnetic base retained — The magnetic quick-mount base and its 4-pin charging contacts pass straight through the cage, so Insta360 mounts and the power selfie stick keep charging the camera while it is caged.
- Cold shoe on top — Mount an LED light, shotgun mic or wireless receiver directly above the lens instead of hanging it off a separate bracket.
- Open-frame aluminum, 70 g — Large cutouts leave both lenses, the touchscreen, all buttons and the USB-C port clear, and let the X6 dump heat during long 5.7K and 8K takes.

Shooting Notes
Load the camera by pressing the latch open, seating the X6 against the base plate, then closing the latch until it clicks. Keep the seam of the frame perpendicular to the two lenses — the open-frame profile sits outside the field of view, so 360 stitching, horizon levelling and reframing in Insta360 Studio behave exactly as they do on a bare camera. For helmet and handlebar work, thread the 1/4"-20 base onto a rigid mount and add a tether through one of the side cutouts. Pair it with a POWRIG action cam accessory for lights and clamps, and see the aluminum cage for Insta360 X3 or the 60m diving case for Insta360 X5 if you shoot on an older body or underwater.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
