POWRIG Quick Release Camera Plate for DJI RS2 / RS3 / RS3 Pro / RSC2 / Ronin-S
The POWRIG QR-DJI is a CNC-machined aluminum quick release camera plate designed as a direct replacement for the stock camera mounting plate on DJI RS2, RS3, RS3 Pro, RSC2, and Ronin-S gimbals. It features an Arca-Swiss type dovetail for fast camera attachment, a safety pin lock to prevent accidental release during operation, and a sliding rail that allows precise fore-aft camera balance adjustment without removing the camera from the plate.
At 120g with a compact 140 × 42 × 16 mm profile, the QR-DJI adds minimal weight while providing a more secure and adjustable mounting solution than the OEM DJI plate.
Key Features
- Arca-Swiss Quick Release — The top surface uses the Arca-Swiss dovetail standard, the most widely adopted quick release system in photography. Slide your camera's Arca-Swiss plate onto the QR-DJI and lock it with the side knob. Compatible with Arca-Swiss plates from Really Right Stuff, Kirk, SmallRig, Sirui, and most third-party manufacturers.
- Safety Pin Lock — A spring-loaded safety pin engages automatically when the camera plate is fully seated. This prevents accidental release from vibration, impact, or unintentional knob rotation during gimbal operation — a critical safety feature when shooting on moving vehicles, stairs, or crowded sets.
- Sliding Rail for Camera Balance — The plate incorporates a sliding rack mechanism that allows you to shift the camera forward or backward along the plate's long axis. This enables precise fore-aft balance adjustment on the gimbal's tilt axis without loosening the camera mounting screw or repositioning the entire plate on the gimbal arm.
- CNC Aluminum Alloy Construction — Machined from solid aluminum alloy with a black anodized finish. Provides rigid, flex-free support for camera bodies up to the gimbal's rated payload capacity. Will not warp or deform under the weight of professional cinema cameras.
- 120g Lightweight — Adds only 120 grams (4.2 oz) to the gimbal payload. The low weight preserves the gimbal's remaining motor torque for stabilization, especially important when shooting with heavier lens and accessory combinations.
- 140 mm Length for Extended Balance Range — At 140 mm (5.5"), the plate provides a longer sliding range than most stock DJI plates. This is particularly useful for front-heavy camera/lens combinations (e.g., cinema lenses, zoom lenses with long barrels) that need extended rearward balance positioning.

What's in the Box
- 1 × POWRIG QR-DJI quick release camera plate
Note: Camera, gimbal, and Arca-Swiss camera plate are not included. You will need your camera's existing Arca-Swiss plate or a compatible quick release plate to mount your camera onto the QR-DJI.
Compatible Cameras (via Arca-Swiss Plate)
Any camera that can be fitted with an Arca-Swiss plate will mount on the QR-DJI. Common pairings include:
- Sony mirrorless — A7 IV, A7S III, A7R V, FX3, FX30, A6700 (with SmallRig or Really Right Stuff L-bracket)
- Canon mirrorless — EOS R5, R6 Mark II, R5 C, C70 (with compatible Arca plate)
- Panasonic — LUMIX S5 II, GH6, S1H (with Arca base plate)
- Blackmagic — Pocket Cinema Camera 4K/6K (with cage-mounted Arca plate)
- Fujifilm — X-H2S, X-T5 (with Arca base plate)
- Compact cinema cameras — RED KOMODO, Z CAM E2 (with appropriate Arca adapter)
The QR-DJI's sliding rail provides additional fore-aft range, making it easier to balance cameras with front-heavy lens setups such as cinema zooms or telephoto primes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this plate replace the stock DJI camera plate directly?
Yes. The QR-DJI mounts to the DJI gimbal's camera arm using the same mounting interface as the stock plate. Remove the OEM plate, install the QR-DJI in its place, and tighten the mounting screw. No modification or additional adapter is needed. The gimbal's tilt axis motor connects to the plate identically.
What does the safety pin do and how does it work?
The safety pin is a spring-loaded pin that automatically engages a detent hole on your camera's Arca-Swiss plate when it is fully seated on the QR-DJI. This prevents the camera from sliding off the dovetail if the locking knob is accidentally loosened during shooting — a common risk on gimbals during movement, vehicle mounting, and handheld operation. To release the camera, pull the safety pin back, then slide the plate off.
How does the sliding rail help with gimbal balancing?
The sliding rail allows you to shift the camera forward or backward along the plate without loosening the camera screw or repositioning the plate on the gimbal arm. This is especially useful when swapping lenses of different weights — you can re-balance the tilt axis in seconds by sliding the camera position rather than adjusting the gimbal arm length.
Will this plate fit the DJI RS4 or RS4 Pro?
The QR-DJI has been tested and confirmed compatible with the DJI RS2, RS3, RS3 Pro, RSC2, and Ronin-S. The DJI RS4 and RS4 Pro use a redesigned camera mounting system that has not been tested with this plate. Compatibility with RS4/RS4 Pro is not guaranteed.
Do I need a separate Arca-Swiss plate for my camera?
Yes. The QR-DJI provides the Arca-Swiss dovetail receiver (mounted to the gimbal). You still need an Arca-Swiss plate attached to the bottom of your camera or cage. Most camera cages from SmallRig, Tilta, and Really Right Stuff include or offer compatible Arca-Swiss base plates.
Can I use this plate with Zhiyun, Moza, or other non-DJI gimbals?
No. The QR-DJI is designed specifically for DJI gimbal camera arm mounting interfaces. Zhiyun Crane, Moza Air, and other non-DJI gimbals use different plate mounting systems and are not compatible.
What is the maximum camera weight this plate can support?
The QR-DJI's weight capacity is limited by your gimbal's rated payload, not the plate itself. The plate's CNC aluminum construction can handle the full payload of any compatible DJI gimbal: RS3 (4.5 kg), RS3 Pro (5 kg), RS2 (4.5 kg), RSC2 (3 kg), Ronin-S (3.6 kg).
