Tired of juggling multiple batteries on set? The POWRIG D-Tap to Dual NP-F Dummy Battery Cable (Model VA-DNPF) lets you power your on-camera monitor and wireless video transmitter simultaneously from a single V-mount battery's D-Tap output. With an added USB-C PD port (up to 36W), you can also charge your phone or power small accessories — all from one clean cable.
Whether you're shooting a wedding, documentary, live stream, or corporate video, this cable eliminates the need for separate battery packs for each device. Simply connect the D-Tap to your V-mount battery, slide the two NP-F dummy battery plates into your monitor and transmitter, and you're ready to roll.

Most D-Tap to NP-F cables on the market only provide a single NP-F output, meaning you need one cable per device. The POWRIG VA-DNPF features dual NP-F outputs on both sides, allowing you to power two devices from one D-Tap connection. Combined with the USB-C PD port, you can effectively power three devices from a single V-mount battery — saving weight, reducing cable clutter, and simplifying your rig.
All POWRIG products come with a 1-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects. If you have any questions about compatibility or setup, our support team is available at info@powrig.com.
Yes. Both NP-F dummy battery plates output 8.4V independently, so you can power your Ninja V monitor from one plate and your Hollyland Mars 400 transmitter from the other, all from a single V-mount D-Tap connection.
The cable requires 9-18V input. If the battery voltage drops below 9V, connected devices may lose power or behave unpredictably. We recommend using V-mount batteries with built-in voltage monitoring or a low-voltage cutoff feature.
Yes. The USB-C port supports USB Power Delivery (PD) at 5V, 9V, and 12V with a maximum output of 36W. This supports fast charging for most modern smartphones, including iPhone (up to 20W) and Samsung Galaxy (up to 25W).
Yes, as long as your Gold Mount battery plate has a standard D-Tap (P-Tap) output. The D-Tap connector is universal across V-mount and Gold Mount systems.
Yes. The cable provides regulated 8.4V output through the NP-F dummy battery plates, which matches the standard NP-F battery voltage range. It is safe for any device designed to be powered by NP-F series batteries.
Using separate cables means more connectors, more weight, and more potential failure points. The VA-DNPF consolidates everything into one cable, reducing clutter on your rig and the number of connections that could come loose during shooting.
